Following Christ is simple, but not necessarily easy. We usually want justice - especially for ourselves - but are usually not willing to stand up for it for others. What this looks like can be very varied - from just helping someone in need to advocating for them and their cause publicly. Just be mindful of your message... God is not timid, but He doesn’t start foolish arguments either.
We all want mercy, too. But it’s easy to withhold it from others - especially when you’ve warned them of the possible consequences of their actions. We may think, “they knew better, they don’t deserve mercy.” I’m glad Jesus doesn’t take that attitude to our situation...
O Lord, please help us to walk with you today - hand in hand, humbly as your children. Help us to be and to do all you’ve purposed for us. Please give us eyes to see and ears to hear what your Spirit is doing in and around us. Help us to respond to your work in the way that glorifies you and your son, Jesus.
