I am a witness. It’s funny, the other a day I was sharing a bit of my testimony and someone said, “…but you knew God wouldn’t give you more than you could handle, right? That’s how you kept going, right?”
I told them that actually it was quite the opposite. I said, “You see, God never said that. It’s not in the Bible it’s a saying that is repeated over and over, but it isn’t true.”
“God says in the Bible that we won’t be able to handle the difficulties and trials we will face on our own, we need to surrender control to our God who IS IN CONTROL and trust Him to get through them. That’s how I survived it all, and why the outcome was blessed.”
We don’t become overcomers by our own strength, we over come by the price Jesus paid for us and walking with Him by faith — step by step. We overcome our doubt and fear to believe and follow the One who has overcome the world.
”We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.“ 2 Corinthians 1:8-10
