Mercy and Grace

Christine Ayala

Our Father wants us to come to Him and just ask Him for what we need. He does know our hearts, but He wants us to ask so He can show us His heart and His grace. He doesn’t want us to mistake His work in us and on our behalf as “coincidences” or “fate.” It’s like we are with our kids - we know they are hungry, but we want them to learn to ask for what they need or want in a respectful way and without being afraid.

The best part about this verse is grace - God calls His majestic throne a throne of Grace and if we ask for mercy, we will receive grace. His love and grace that we don’t deserve, cannot earn and will never be worthy of, is ours - let us not take this for granted, but share it with those around us. #BEthechurch #theywillknowusbyourlove #walkinthespirit #christianliving #goodgoodfather #throneofgrace #mercyandgrace #onespiritonechurch #shalom #dailydevotional

When I ponder the wonder of God's mercy and grace, I see that with mercy, God does not give us what we deserve, and with grace God gives us what we do not deserve.
