Today we celebrate Independence Day - a huge part of this celebration is the right and freedom to worship God. Our freedoms were fought do and died for mostly by people who followed the Bible and depended on God.
That’s right, our independence politically was born from our dependence on God. They depended on God for wisdom and to form laws and strategies. They depended on God for favor and for justice. War is an awful and ugly thing, but they depended on God to win it and to form a more perfect union. They said in the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
