Hatred

This is so clear in scripture and yet there is so much hatred in the Church that I can feel God’s grief. Jesus said, “LOVE one another as I have loved you.” 1 John 2:9 tells us “ Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.” The world sees this and thinks Christians are hypocrites...

However, we are supposed to hate evil, pride and arrogance. “Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.”

Psalms 97:10 NIV

How often do we make excuses for sins (our own and those we like) and judge others - they’re a “bad person”?
