Fruity

Christine Ayala

Some versions of the Bible use the word “abide” instead of remain, and both are important. It’s about holding on when the going gets tough, or staying with Him when life is tedious or boring.

Jesus tells us to do this right after He said that He is the vine and we are the branches - so it’s also about seasons: barren winters, awakening springs, productive summers, and harvesting autumns. Think about the seasons of your life and how they fit in to this metaphor - did you remain in Him when things were barren and lifeless? Find you remain in Him when you were producing much fruit? What kind of fruit are you bearing? #walkingwithjesus #discipleship #yourjourneytobeingwhole #shalom #dailydevotional
