Enough

Have you struggled with Jesus being enough for you? I have. It wasn’t about accomplishments or possessions for me, it was about relationships. I was single for 14 years after my divorce. I never wanted that and I was very lonely. It wasn’t until I surrendered that need to Jesus that He became enough for me in my eyes.

You see, He was with me through it all, my constant companion and faithful friend. He never let me fall so far that He didn’t catch me and He never gave up. When I stopped looking for man to complete me, Jesus did it. Then when I did meet my husband, I wasn’t looking for Him to fill the space that only the Lord can. And God put it together beautifully in that surrender.

“But he said to me, “My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, my power is made perfect in you.” So I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can live in me.”
