I don’t know about you, but I’m guilty of telling the Lord what the right time is to give me what I want. I’m sure I sound like a selfish know-it-all child when I do this. After all, I’m talking to the creator of the universe, the laws of physics and little ol’ me. I think we’ve all been there, though.
When you get excited about something- especially the things God has called you too, it’s easy to get caught up and forget the whole “wait on the Lord” part. They say wisdom comes with age - but the Bible says wisdom comes from God, and understanding your place (this is true humility) in the scheme of things - in other words God is God, and you’re not. When you have this right perspective, then you’re able to trust God deeply enough to truly walk by faith. Faith in His goodness and in His timing.
