Hope is powerful. We are to rejoice in it, and it can be enough to get us through tremendous hardships. Think of Paul who wrote this, he endured severe beatings, jail, prison, and more - and yet he could continue on because had hope for His future in heaven.
Don’t let anyone steal your hope! Sometimes they are so discouraged they need to see you hold on when they can’t, or won’t. I’ve done this for someone before - it wasn’t easy, but my hope and faith prevailed! So, DON’T GIVE UP!
