I’m an eternal optimist - I don’t just see the glass as half full, I see it as refillable over and over. @ryanromeo preached yesterday and said, “hope isn’t optimism.” Because hope is much deeper than our attitude or outlook - hope is powerful!
“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
The key is to put our hope in the Lord and His promises, not in people or institutions. People will always let us down. You will let others down when they put too much hope in you, too. Point it all to the Lord. He never changes and His promises never fail!
